Canadian Motorcycle Racer A Firm Believer in Special Olympics

Canadian businessman and professional motorcycle racer Dan Kruger was in Macao last week as a guest speaker at the Conference for Intellectually Disabled People in Asia. Seventy Special Olympics athletes, their coaches and support staff all attended the event at the MUST Auditorium, along with staff and middle school students from the International School of Macao. The conference aims to raise awareness of the importance of social inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The day began with a variety of special speakers sharing their expertise and experiences with conference delegates and TIS students. In his presentation, Mr Kruger focused on his successes and setbacks in both business and motorcycle racing, and spoke about the things that have made him a better person: the love of his family, the trust of true friends and his involvement with Special Olympics and individuals with intellectual disabilities.

“I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned and accomplished up until now and re-invest it in others,” says Mr Kruger, adding, “This latest goal is to make a difference in other people’s lives through sharing my story and what gives me strength and perseverance.
