Canada is celebrating its 150th Anniversary of Confederation, which is when the colonies of Canada (Ontario and Quebec), Nova Scotia and New Brunswick were united as the “Dominion of Canada” on July 1, 1867.

Celebrations to mark the occasion are taking place all across Canada, but Canadians in Macao need not worry about missing out. CanCham Macao will be celebrating Canada 150 with a Summer BBQ at The International School of Macao on Saturday, July 1st from 12 noon to 3 pm.

The Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao featured a temporary (or “Pop Up”) Consulate-General presence in Macao on Feb 22-23. For the second year running, Pop-Up Canada! in Macao offered the public an opportunity to take part in several events and seminars on Canada, including talks on studying in Canada and immigration to Canada.
