Running for A Worthy Cause

The Macau community once again showed its unwavering support for the Run of Hope on Sunday, November 5th with more than 250 people participating in the annual charity fundraiser held at the Four Seasons Macao Hotel.

The Run of Hope consists of a 3 km Family Walk and 5.6 km Run, followed by a delicious brunch at Splash Restaurant. Congratulations to TIS teachers Nick Chignall and Caitlin Bass who took home first place in the men’s and women’s 5.6 km run! Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Kiang Wu Hospital Cancer Department and the China Evangelize Fellowship Orphanage in Macau.

The Run of Hope, originally known as the Terry Fox Run, is the corporate community program of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts that was inspired by Terry Fox, a courageous young man with bone cancer who ran across Canada in 1980 to raise funds for cancer. The event is organized by the Four Seasons Hotel Macao in partnership with CanCham Macao and The International School of Macao.
