Canada Asia Business Summit & Showcase Canada 2018
CanCham Macao members are invited to attend the 1st Canada Asia Business Summit 2018 on May 4 & 5, 2018 and Showcase Canada 2018 (Trade and Education Fair) on May 6 & 7 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The events are organized by the Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The goal of the Canada Asia Business Summit is to inspire and strengthen Canadian industries through the sharing of ideas and experiences, build networks both in the Asia Pacific region and Canada, and offer key recommendations on actions needed to make Canadian industries more competitive in Asia. The summit will be held at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel.
Showcase Canada 2018 will promote Canadian products and services in the Bangladesh market. The showcase will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Hall-01 in Dhaka.

From Darkness Into Light
The International School of Macao recently welcomed guest speaker and holocaust survivor Werner Reich, who spoke to high school students, teachers and parents about his experiences in Nazi concentration camps during World War II.
Mr. Reich and his family lived in Berlin, Germany when the Nazi’s came into power in 1933. The family moved to Yugoslavia, which was later occupied by the Nazis in 1941. Two years later, Mr. Reich was arrested by the Gestapo and spent time in four different concentration camps across Europe.
Mr Reich’s riveting account of how he survived those dark years and life after the World War was both haunting and inspiring and made for a very memorable talk.

Fight Night at Warrior Fitness
An energetic crowd came out to support the Macau White Collar Warriors Charity Fundraiser on Saturday, Jan 6th at the Warrior Fitness gym in Taipa. All of the fighters in each of the five bouts put on a great show and fought hard.
All proceeds raised from the event with be donated to the Warrior Foundation, a charity which supports at-risk youth as well as education initiatives.
Canadian-owned Warrior Fitness offers individual & class training in Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ, Capoeira & fitness training through BodyFit, Yoga, & Zumba in Taipa.
